Meeting Templates are types of meetings that you schedule frequently, and usually with the same parameters. These tend to align to your job and your day to day workflow.

For example: If you are a recruiter, you probably do a lot of screening calls that are similar, if not identical, in how they're set up. If you work in Sales, you probably do a lot of demo meetings. If you're a people manager, you probably frequently hold 1:1 meetings with your direct reports.

When you set up a new Meeting Template, you can customize the settings for the meeting — what they're called, when you do them, where they're held, how many of them you do per day — and then use it to schedule those types of meetings.

Using a Meeting Template as a Calendar Page

When you create a Meeting Template, you automatically generate a custom URL for a Calendar Page that you can share with people so they can schedule the type of meeting with you.

This is the Calendar Page for my Demo Meeting Template:

When your guest selects a time that works for them, they'll be brought to this page to finish scheduling the meeting. The meeting will then be added to your calendar.

Using a Meeting Template in an Email

You can "trigger" Amy or Andrew to schedule one of your custom Meeting Templates by typing it as a "slash command" in the email.

This is a great option when you want to initiate the meeting, but you want your guest to choose the time AND you don't want to manage the follow-up with your guest(s) to make sure it gets scheduled.

Your guest will choose the time according to the Meeting Template settings and your availability. If you want to set your own time, try an Ad Hoc meeting instead.

Create Unlimited Meeting Templates!

You can set up as many Meeting Templates as you want to cover all the events you typically schedule. You can also copy a Meeting Template to quickly create a new version. This copies over the original customizations into a new Meeting Template.

Click the "copy" button on the Meeting Template you want to duplicate. Give the new Meeting Template a new name and URL, plus any additional changes that you want, then click "Save."

How to Make Your Meeting Template Private

In the settings for your Meeting Template, scroll down to the "Restrictions" section and toggle on the option: I'll make this private and won't show it on your Calendar Homepage.

You'll still be able to share the Calendar Page URL with specific people, and you can use the slash command for this Meeting Template.

How to Delete a Meeting Template

You can turn a Meeting Template off temporarily by clicking the toggle in the upper righthand corner of the template.

When you do this, the Meeting Template will no longer be available on your Calendar Homepage and you won't be able to use it as a slash command.

If you want to permanently delete the Meeting Template, you can click the "Delete page" button in the bottom righthand corner of the "Edit Meeting Template" view.
